SiteStuff

SiteStuffSiteStuff is the e-marketplace for real estate operations. It was basically a b2b play that seeks to join large real estate operators (i.e., Jones Lang LaSalle, CB Richard Ellis) with suppliers of goods and services that operators need to run their properties.

I was one of the founding employees at SiteStuff. I created the original visual concepts that the management team used to help secure seed stage funding. Eventually, I accepted a full-time position with SiteStuff as their web designer. That position ended up covering alot of ground from publishing content and graphic design to assisting with the development of new functionality. I also did several Flash based projects including a pre-launch marketing demo and a purchasing training module.

Of course, my primary responsibility was design of the SiteStuff site. SiteStuff worked with very heterogenous systems over time and across different areas of the site. As such, I implemented my designs in Vignette StoryServer, ASP, JSP, XML and static HTML and CSS.

As SiteStuff's lead web designer, I was also presented with the task of completely redesigning the website of an acquired company. This was a challenging project as we had to carry out the architecture and design phase in tandem with the rewriting of code and development of new graphics. Here is a sample screen shot.

Screenshots of my original design are here (1,2).
